The haiku is a beautiful, subtle poetry form. The following haikus are haikus only insomuch that they follow the 5-7-5 syllable scheme. They are stupid “poems” prompted by free stock photos.

Running in a form
white, pale, blank as the landscape.
Only eyes to see.

Baptist’s head hefted
with ennui and rich costume
pint-sized for the mail

Rich, succulent, life
Destination: bacon, ham
How cute the pigs are

The wheel of time turns
Where goes this parade of age?
Smile! Wave good-bye

How Chinese is it?
Is this Chinese enough yet?
Put in some chopsticks.
